Stories Behind

SWA Architects is the most established architectural practice in the Turks and Caicos Islands, founded by RIBA Chartered Architect Simon Wood in 1995. Over three decades the firm has shaped how the islands have developed, building a reputation for thoughtful, context-driven design that complements the island environment and Caribbean lifestyle.

Over time, SWA has built a reputation for thoughtful, context-driven design that complements the island environment and Caribbean lifestyle. Their work spans luxury hospitality, bespoke villas, master planning, and commercial projects. In addition, each project is informed by sustainability and respect for local heritage.

An internationally experienced team blends creativity with environmental and cultural sensitivity. As a result, SWA’s portfolio includes some of the most stunning villas in the Turks and Caicos, iconic landmarks like the Casablanca Casino, and major new resorts including The Point by Grace Bay Clubs and Kempinski Turks and Caicos Islands.

To support that presence, Caicos Media works with SWA across brand design, web content, social media, digital activations, and print advertising.

The Journey

SWA Architects already had an established reputation, but its digital presence was limited. Caicos Media delivered a brand refresh and a new website now ranking at the top of Google. We also developed a LinkedIn and Instagram strategy to support continued discovery of one of the most significant businesses in Turks and Caicos.

Our Approach

We dove into SWA’s 30-year history of architecture, mapping out the evolution of their work from early commissions to recent projects. The creative direction focused on balance: showcasing technical expertise alongside the emotional experience of place—but also bringing to life a business that has grown hand-in-hand with the islands.
A dedicated “From the Archives” section features old press clippings and magazine articles, alongside animated timelines showing milestones since the beginning. A modern news section reinforces SWA’s position as one of the most important architectural studios in the Turks and Caicos.

Results

The final narrative now presents SWA Architects as a confident leader in architectural design, with a digital presence that mirrors the clarity and craftsmanship of their built work. As a result, the storytelling highlights their legacy, broad portfolio and deep connection to place, making it easier for clients to grasp the firm’s vision and value.

Visitors to the updated content can now clearly understand SWA’s approach to luxury hospitality, residential projects, master planning and environmentally responsive design. The website reflects both heritage and ongoing evolution, positioning the firm for future collaborations and global interest.
